Because many people still experience the Internet through a modem, I optimize every page to load quickly.

I use techniques that make it easy to control all the visual aspects of your site -- fonts, sizes, margins and colors -- throughout your site from a single place, so site-wide changes can be made easily, quickly, and consistently. These techniques lead to a site that is visually consistent, and they reduce the amount of code to build and maintain.

I produce code that is compatible with virtually all browsers, old and new, on all platforms. Then I test the code on both PCs and Macs, running Internet Explorer, browsers based on the Mozilla project (the descendant of Netscape Navigator), Apple's Safari, and several less-well-known browsers. Each browser renders pages differently, and I think it is critically important not to exclude any of your site's potential visitors by using bleeding-edge coding techniques.
